Now that they are retired, my mother and father are discussing all aspects of their future.

"What will you do if I die before you do?" Dad asked Mom.

After some thought, she said that she'd probably look for a house sharing situation with three other widowed women who might be a little younger than herself, since she is so active for her age.

Then Mom asked Dad, "What will you do if I die first?"

He replied, "Probably the same thing."

은퇴한 어머니와 아버지가 미래에 벌어질 일들에 대해 이야기하고 있었다.



"내가 당신보다 먼저 죽으면 어떻게 하겠소?" 아버지가 어머니한테 물었다.

어머니는 잠시 생각한 뒤 자신이 나이에 비해 활동적인 편이니 나이가 조금 적은 과부 3명과 함께 살 방도를 찾아볼 것 같다고 말했다.

이제 어머니가 아버지에게 물었다. "당신은 내가 먼저 죽으면 어떻게 할 건가요?"

아버지가 답했다. "아마도 당신처럼 행동할 거요."
