A middle aged woman had a heart attack. While on the operating table she had a near death experience. Seeing God she asked "Is my time up?
God answered, "No, you have another 40 years to live."
Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a facelift, liposuction, and a tummy tuck. Since she had so much more time to live, she figured she might as well make the most of it.
After her last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was hit by a car and died immediately.
Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 40 years, why didn't you pull me from out of the path of the car?"
God replied, "I didn't recognize you."
한 중년 여성이 심장마비에 걸렸다. 수술대 위에서 그녀는 거의 죽음을 경험을 했다.
신을 만난 그녀가 물었다. "제가 죽을 때가 됐나요?"
신이 대답했다. "아니, 아직 40년은 더 남았지."
그녀는 회복한 뒤 병원에 남아 성형수술과 지방흡입술ㆍ복부지방제거 수술까지 몽땅 받았다. 아직 살 날이 많이 남았다면 앞으로 남은 인생을 최대한 활용할 생각이었다.
그런데 마지막 수술을 마치고 퇴원하던 길에 그녀는 횡단보도를 건너다 차에 치어 즉사하고 말았다.
신 앞에 선 그녀는 따져 물었다. "제게 아직 40년이 남았다고 하셨잖아요. 왜 저를 차가 오는 방향에서 빼내주시지 않으셨죠?"
신이 대답했다. "못 알아봤다."
