Three college professors were driving down the highway at a very slow speed. A policeman pulled them over and explained that driving so slowly on the highway could be hazardous. The driver pointed out the sign that read '30', and explained that he was going 30㎞/h because of the sign. The policeman pointed out that the sign indicated they were driving on Highway 30. Somewhat embarrassed, the professor apologized and promised to be more observant. As the policeman turn to walk back to his car, he noticed the other two professors on the floor…looking scared to death! He asked the driver, "What's wrong with them?" The driver replied, "We just turned off Highway 200." 세 명의 교수가 매우 느린 속도로 고속도로를 달리고 있었다. 경찰관이 그들의 차를 길 한쪽으로 세운 다음 고속도로에서 너무 느린 속도로 운전하면 위험할 수 있다고 설명했다. 운전자가 '30'이라고 적힌 표지판을 가리키며 자신은 저 표지판을 보고 시속 30㎞로 운전했다고 설명했다. 경찰관이 그 표지판은 30번 고속도로를 달리고 있다는 것을 의미한다고 지적했다. 교수는 당황하며 사과를 했다. 그리고 앞으로 표지를 잘 따르겠다고 약속했다. 얘기를 마친 경찰관이 그의 차로 돌아가려다가 겁에 질린 표정으로 바닥에 쓰러져 있는 나머지 두 명의 교수를 발견했다. "이 분들은 왜 이러시죠?"경찰관이 운전자에게 물었다. 운전자가 답했다. "저희가 조금 전까지 200번 고속도로를 타고 왔거든요."
