On the first day of college, the Dean notified all students some of the rules. "The female dormitory will be out of bounds for all male students, and the male dormitory to the all female students. Anybody caught breaking this rule must be fined $40 for the 1st time." He continued, "Being caught breaking the rule the 2nd time will be fined $90. The 3rd time it's $150 and 4th time it's a lot much." At this one male student shouted, "Too expensive. How much is a free-pass ticket for one semester?" 대학 첫 날에 학장이 모든 학생들에게 학칙을 통보했다. "여학생 기숙사에는 모든 남학생들의 출입이, 그리고 남학생 기숙사에는 모든 여학생 출입이 금지됩니다. 이 학칙을 어기다 적발되면 처음에는 40달러의 벌금을 내야 합니다." 학장은 말을 이어갔다. "이 학칙을 두 번째로 어기면 벌금은 90달러가 됩니다. 세 번째는 150달러이고 네 번째는 훨씬 더 많습니다." 그러자 한 남학생이 소리쳤다, "너무 비싸요. 한 학기용 자유 이용권은 얼마죠?"
